Histology : Slides Information.

Bismillah.

Some informations about the slides in Histology. All the credits is belonging to Naqi , B1 student.


HIGH POWER LM * Fixed to the microscope 
  • Golgi Apparatus in Nerve Cell (Silver Stain)
  • Golgi Apparatus in Epididymis (Silver Stain)
  • Fat Cell (H&E)
  • Fat Cell (Sudan Black)
  • Liver Glycogen (Best's Carmine Stain)
  • Blood Film (Leishman's Stain)
  • Muscle Spindle (H&E)
  • Purkinje Fibres (H&E)
  • Ground Compact Bone (no stain) * Low power, but will be fixed to the microscope

2.  Special Stain
  • Nerve Trunk (Osmic Acid)
  • Sympathetic Ganglia (Silver Stain)
  • Lymph Node (Silver Stain)
  • Spleen (Silver Stain)
  • Ligamentum Nuchae (Van Geison Stain)

Some guidances from the doctor:

1) If the slide is fixed(static position at the microscope), it is a high magnification slide.

2)Remember back the list of high magnification slides. By that way, you will not do the mistake during name the slides.

3) If it is a low lower slide and its color was not pink+blue(acidophilic +basophilic) , remember back the list for special stains.

4)Low power H&E slides quite difficult right (?) But, you've to find the special point for each slides.

5) Atlas may not complete at all, but you can find the another sources to revise.
